1957 Other Makes (1957)
I purchased this 1957 MATCHLESS G80S over thirty years ago from the original owner. I rode it on a couple of all British bike rides and have displayed it in my motorcycle collection since then. It has a genuine 6277 miles from new. Totally correct and original apart from the addition of a more modern and more efficient air cleaner. This is a prime example of a classic British single cylinder "thumper".2016-11-20 04:40:35Tarzana, California, United States634000 -

This is a very rare Maico Scrambler and not the Blizzard variety. It was imported by a Maico dealer in Iowa who added the light kit to help sell the bike. In 1957, Maico race bikes were/are a rare bird in the U.S. The very first 250cc World Championship, "The European Cup" was won on this type of Maico in 1957 by Fritz Betzelbacher. Willi Oesterle, also of Germany took 2nd on a similar bike. I did remove the engine from the bike with plans of a restoration, but the engine is still complete in a crate. I also have a Maico Blizzard I would sell for an additional $800 and it has the top triple tree mount for a front number plate, which is needed for a proper restoration for this racer. I do not have a title, but I can provide a Bill of Sale. Please check out my other bike auctions, and don't hesitate to contact me with questions. Thanks for taking a look!2016-11-17 04:40:17Ozark, Missouri, United States013000 -

A super nice example of a classic 1957 GILERA ROSSA SUPER. This model was not sold new in the US although SEARS did import quite a lot of late sixties and early seventies models. These were the rather boring and fairly easy to find 106cc and 124cc Giubileo models. This 1957 model is the early style 150cc.2016-06-14 15:02:28Tarzana, California, United States716000

2025 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025Classic cruising Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. If I’m cruisin’ there’s no better place to be than on the Heritage Classic. Low and slow is the name of the game here, well, not too slow because while in Sport mode, using the dedicated traction control button on the right switchgear to disable TC resulted in effortless rolling burnouts from the Heritage – again, 120 lb-ft or torque gets the job done.
2025 Harley-Davidson Breakout Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025Better than expected Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. The Harley-Davidson Breakout was perhaps the biggest surprise for me in a number of ways. Thoughts of Orange County Choppers and other fads from the early aughts consume the same space in my mind as the Breakout.
2025 Harley-Davidson Street Bob Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025Sampling H-D's baseline bobber Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. At $17,199, the Street Bob comes in as the most affordable Softail in the line-up. You get 5 inches of suspension travel out of the fork and 3.4 inches from the monoshock that’s tucked away to give those Hard Tail vibes.
2025 Harley-Davidson Cruiser Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025Sampling six H-D cruisers Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. I feel that I can relate with the 2025 Harley-Davidson Cruiser line on a subcutaneous level. Once you get past our exquisite, carefully curated exteriors, we’re both filled with a toxic mix of liquid with our complexities hidden away from view, stuffed down so deep that no one would ever think twice to use the word sophisticated to describe us.
2025 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S & ST Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025A focus on hard-edged performance from the Softail line Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. The Low Riders take the Softail line to new heights when it comes to performance – and not only due to the High Output tune of the Milwaukee Eight 117 V-Twin. Hustling through a set of corners it’s immediately evident that you’re working with something different.
2025 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Review – First Ride
Thu, 13 Mar 2025Bulbous boys Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. I’ve always loved the low, wide look of the Fat Boy. Maybe Terminator 2 played a role in this subconsciously, but the Fat Boy does an excellent job of having a classic silhouette with some additional attitude.

2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival Review
Tue, 03 Sep 2024A double dose of nostalgia Photos by Edward Narraca; Harley-Davidson Museum Archives I love classic Americana. Hot rods, choppers, you name it. It’s one of the things that make me proud to be from the place that this aesthetic was born.
