Harley-Davidson Sportster description

The bike is amazing to ride. I'm 6'1" and it fits like a glove. It has a low profile, and forward pegs for comfortable riding. It's fast, it's very sexy with the black on black (all black paint, with a blacked out engine), and the wide tires give it a really tough look. It's looks small parked next to any of the cruisers on the road, but I always get stares, and complements. THE ONLY REASON I'm selling it, is because I need to free up cash. If it doesn't sell...oh well!

Runs solid, and all maintenance has been done by a factory dealer. Original pipes, Modified tank for longer rides, modified seat for comfort, a nick on the right of the gas tank from the mirror tapping the tank. Bike has been tipped over in a parking lot (NOT BY ME - some other POS during the 110th) Some damage to motor exterior, but hidden behind the air intake). No other visual damage to the bike, and no mechanical problems at all!

The jobs begin in January 2014 and will run through until the end of May. “When we ramp up production to meet customer demands, it allows us the manufacturing flexibility to build the right bike, the right time for the right person,” Harley-Davidson Spokesperson Bernadette Lauer tells the York Daily Record.

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
