For sale is a 2005 Harley Sportster XLR (Roadster Edition) with a 1200 cc engine. The bike has been very reliable and was my daily driver until earlier this year. The back tire was replaced within the last 3,000 miles and a brand new HD starter was just put on this month (I have the receipts if needed). There is approximately 23,900 miles on the bike. It has been garage stored with regular oil changes. I'm getting married later in the year, so I'm not able to keep it and the bike is priced to move. I'm asking $4,500 and will consider best offers.
I'm very willing to take close up photos or additional videos if needed, so please feel free to reach out. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.

Wed, 13 Nov 2013Harley-Davidson is looking for 400 casual workers for its factory in York, Pa., to help with a planned seasonal surge in production. The jobs begin in January 2014 and will run through until the end of May. “When we ramp up production to meet customer demands, it allows us the manufacturing flexibility to build the right bike, the right time for the right person,” Harley-Davidson Spokesperson Bernadette Lauer tells the York Daily Record.
