Harley-Davidson Sportster description

I am selling my Sportster as I have purchased a bigger bike and the wife says one must go. Bike is in excellent shape except for some scratches on the tank (See picture)and a slight dimple. The  rear tire needs to be replaced and front tire has a little life left. Left side Battery Cover has some peeling spots to it. I just had the rear master cylinder, rear brake caliper rebuilt and new brake shoes.

It has Vance and Hines, Apes and Kuryakyn foot pegs and shifter peg Kuryakyn grips. "Skull themed" emblems on the fuel cap, Derby cover and Points Cover, and chrome switches, Stage 1 kit and I just added the Kuryakyn Velociraptor Air Cleaner. I have the original Air Cleaner also. The bike has a very comfortable Mustang seat.

When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures. Buyer arranges shipping and I will help and give some contacts for quotes.

The Milwaukee-based company has unveiled its new V-twin

Fri, 03 Jan 2020

The Milwaukee-based company has unveiled its new V-twin, a 131-inch 'crate engine' designed for post-2017 Touring models. Harley-Davidson has not yet had large engines in terms of capacity and power. This behemoth, which looks like a work of modern technoart, is called the Screamin' Eagle Milwaukee-Eight 131.

Backflips on a Harley? [video]

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
