2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 Roadster, Sportster XL 1200 Roadster - We’re not claiming fun was invented in 1957. But by all accounts, that’s when a good deal of it was discovered – the year the Sportster line was born. With it came a torque-laden V-Twin, a lean frame and good times. Since then, the Sportster has changed, but it’s never forgotten its purpose. If you need to get reacquainted with what that is, we offer the new, rip-roaring Sportster 1200 Roadster. It starts with a rubber-mounted Evolution engine, in silver and black powder-coat. It’s stronger and quicker, thanks to high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams. Every trip through the gears is pure excitement. The frame retains the fabled XL agility, so winding roads are more like asphalt playgrounds. We finished with a wide polished bar, aggressive two-up seat, tach with a 6000 RPM redline and classic two-tone tank with vintage graphics. Yet again, the Sportster makes you smile. Best Western Holds Photo Contest for Motorcyclists
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Best Western is holding a new contest for motorcyclists to celebrate its 65th anniversary and the launch of its three types of hotels. The Best Western Ride Rewards Photo Contest is open to motorcycle riders and runs until July 15. To enter, riders must submit photos of their motorcycles in front of a Best Western sign from the chain’s 2,200 North American locations to the Best Western Facebook page.
Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
