Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 SPORT, I'm selling a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200R. It has less than 15k miles and is in excellent condition. Runs great. Clean title. Here is a list of new parts and customization: - Custom Pangea Speed attack bars - Custom stainless exhaust - Hand controls removed - Start, on/off switch relocated to side panel - TSSM removed completely - Custom ignition switch mount - Custom coil mount - Custom license plate bracket - Custom sprocket cover - Polished fork lowers _ Polished triple trees - Works dual rate springs in fork - Progressive 412 rear shocks - New headlight with high/low toggle built in - Trimmed fenders - Trimmed struts - Yost carb top - Pangea Speed choke bracket - Avon speedmaster 3.5x19 front tire - Firestone deluxe vintage 5x16 rear tire - Lick's cycles rear view mirror - Chain conversion with RK zero stretch chain and PBI sprockets. (Not cheap conversion kit) - Low Brow vintage tail light - Biltwell slimline tuck 'n roll seat - Custom seat bracket - Baxter Grips - Joker machine shifter peg - Trimmed and polished rear brake lever - Cloth covered wires - Dynatek plug wires - New oil tank/dipstick/cap - New battery - New spark plugs - New front tire, fairly new rear tire - Most hardware/bolts/nuts/gaskets have been replaced with new factory parts - Upgraded side panel mount to '09-up version - New powdercoat on fenders, bars, risers, coil mount, ignition mount, license plate bracket, seat bracket, side panels, battery box, and wheels - New custom paint on tank There's probably more, but I think I got most of it. I have a set of stock forward controls I'll throw into the deal also. I have a lot of hours working on this bike. I hate to sell it, but need the money. This bike is FAST and fun. No joyrides. Serious offers only. $7,250.00 8019152273

Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?

Fri, 10 May 2013

Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.

Harley Riders Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

The Harley-Davidson family of riders and fans has a promise for women affected by breast cancer: You’re not alone, because we ride with you. These riders and fans added extra horsepower to that promise by raising more than $1 million for organizations that support and empower women affected by breast cancer through the purchase of Harley-Davidson Genuine MotorClothes Pink Label Collection apparel and merchandise. “The brave and courageous women who have shared with us stories of battling breast cancer are the inspiration for the Pink Label Collection,” said Karen Davidson (right), Creative Director of General Merchandise and granddaughter of a Harley-Davidson Motor Company founder.
