Harley-Davidson Sportster description
2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 CUSTOM, Want the best looking Sportster to be yours? This is your bike! I designed this bike with a smooth easy-on-the-eyes look. The entire handlebar group is chromed, braided, and all wires tucked cleanly into the bars. Studded Corbin solo seat with a separate two-up Mustang seat, custom front wheel, windshield, backrest, luggage, and of course, lots of chrome. And checkout the bobtail rear fender. Looks good doesn't it? Just about every time I go riding, someone says, "That's the best looking Harley I have ever seen!" The bike has 14,443 miles and I have always maintained it as recommended by Harley. This a special bike. I need to find the right owner who'll take great care of it and enjoy the ride. The bike has in the neighborhood of $19,000 in it. Offers will be considered. This is the best time of the year to ride! $7,975.00

Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
Harley-Davidson Christmas Commercial
Fri, 19 Dec 2008Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.
