Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Converted to 1200 -Low Miles - Black - Extras

Selling the Harley to pay for my upcoming wedding. This is the last week I will post this. If it doesn't sell, I will take it to the dealer and take what they offer me. NEED TO SELL. Thanks

Pictures were taken on a hot summer day, bike has water on it from sprinkler system. But you can see the way the water just beads up on it.

Bike has just under 10,000 miles, 9491 miles as of listing. I still drive it almost daily so exact mileage isn't possible to give until the day of sale. I do all maintenance. Oil changes every 3 or so months using full synthetic oil.

Converted to a 1200 with Screaming Eagle parts.
 Blings High Performance ignition installed.
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
S&S Shorty G carb.
Vance & Hines straight drag exhaust heat wrapped.
Outlaw Z handlebars from LA Choppers.
 Forward Controls.
Upgraded leather seat.
 Lowered with Progressive shocks.
Chrome Harley LED or HID lighting, previous owner said it's all LED.
ALL THE BEST UPGRADES HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE. READY TO RIDE.

Just had new ignition module installed about a month or so ago. Common issue with sportsters, because they are air cooled and the modules burn out after years. Servicing done at Ocean Harley, great place. Zero issues with this bike. I drive it everywhere with no worries.

Only use premium gasoline from Exxon or Shell.

I am the second owner. And I love this bike. But it must go.

BEST OFFERS CONSIDERED.

Thanks for looking.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India

Fri, 18 May 2012

India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.

The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. HD Recommends Things to Pack on a Long Motorcycle Trip

Thu, 23 Jul 2009

Harley-Davidson was kind enough to post on Twitter a PDF of a list of things to bring with you on a long motorcycle trip. And what a list! It’s hard to believe you could squeeze all this stuff onto yourself and your bike.
