Apparently, elks aren’t too keen on motorcyclists, as the video below demonstrates. This couple, aboard what sounds like a Harley-Davidson (that potato-potato exhaust note is unmistakeable), were riding along in Missoula, Montana when this elk decided he wanted to take the road for himself. As traffic slowed and eventually passed, the elk took a growing interest in the couple on the motorcycle, approaching them.

Margie Siegal, former columnist for IronWorks Magazine and motorcycle enthusiast has written a book on the history of the world’s most famous motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. Entitled,  Harley-Davidson: A History of the World’s Most Famous Motorcycle, the book ties together the mechanical evolution of the Harley engines, the social history of Harley and the beautiful visuals associated with Harleys in design, advertising, artful photography and collectibles. Harley-Davidson Offers “Steel Toe Tour” of York Factory

Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.
