1997 Sportster 883/1200 conversion with Buell Lightning heads. The ultimate sleeper Sportster. Started life as 883 Sportster and converted by Harley dealership master mechanic( with receipts) to 1200cc w/ Lightning heads, 1200 cylinders, pistions & 1200S ignition, Taylor plug wires.
Meticulously maintained, immaculate condition. Upgraded Buchannan laced wheels with stainless steel spokes, stainless steel hardware throughout, and wide flat track bars. Tires are Dunlop 401 with low miles. Save $$$ on insurance premiums for 883 titled Sportster while enjoying the git-up of the 1200 Lightning powerplant. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
