Harley-Davidson Sportster description
I picked up this bike a while back from Chuck Norris no not the actor, but and a great american who did three tours in the middle Eas as a Marine (Thank you to Chuck and all other Vets for our freedom) This bike has sat for about four years
In 1996 Harley Davidson wanted to break into Sport bike market as the market was going crazy in the mid 90s.Harley's answer was the xl1200s (s=sport) equipped with Shawa competition 39mm Telescopic forks, preload , compression and rebound adjustable.(ae stiffness and ride hight) up front, and Dual Showa shocks, also, preload , compression and rebound adjustable, .Back that up with a 1200cc Evo motor usually reserved for much larger bikes and you got an absolute beast that handles like its on rails !.. As you can see its triple black just a sharp, aggressive looking bike I love the current stance but that can be easily changed by adjusting the above mentioned suspension looks like rear has 3 inch of adj., and front forks are about the same. Paint is great I purchased a tank and had it painted to match, engine, forks etc. have a few small chips but hardly noticeable. . Only a few things bike needs is solenoid rebuilt (a new Kit is included) with it. I put a new battery in it turned over nice with good compression and spark I was turning it over a few times before starting as is standard practice for a bike thats been sitting, when the solenoid shorted out, now it just clicks. The pipes (baffleless drag pipes) you can get baffles here on Ebay if you dont like straight pipes. Unfortunitly do to financial and other problems I am not going to be able to finish it, New parts included, Solenoid rebuild kit, exhaust gaskets, 3 qrts Harley 20w 50 oil, 1 qrt gear oil, 1 new chrome oil filter. All in all its a great looking that just needs an afteroon with your buddy and a 12 pack and she will be ready to tear up the streets again. Any questions please ask before bidding Thank you Tom Weatherby 330 553 1946 I am very proud of my feedbacks take a moment and read through my nearly 200 feedbavks as a seller and bid with confidence. Thu, 24 Feb 2022What It's Like To Ride A Harley Superbike Credit: Photos by Brian J. Nelson and Kevin Wing Kyle Wyman knows a thing or two about superbikes. Having ridden quite a few over the years as a MotoAmerica rider, and having built some himself as a MotoAmerica team owner – including the Ducati Panigale V4R he campaigned most recently – the 2021 MotoAmerica King of the Baggers champion didn’t mince his words when describing the synergy between himself, Harley-Davidson, and the Road Glide he took all the way to the title.
2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed
Tue, 26 Aug 2014It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.
