Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Sorry about the lack of formatting, this site strips it out. This is a great condition 1200cc (original 1200 not an 883 upgraded to one) 1994 Sportster that has about 31k miles on it. This thing is chromed out galore and is an absolute beauty. It needs a new owner that can truly appreciate her. Here is a list of the extras on this bike: Totally chromed out with at least 11 Harley eagle live to ride, ride to live medallions, Forward Controls (kit from J&P Cycles) with Kuryakyn ISO Foot Pegs Sissy Bar with attached luggage rack (official Harley one), Badlander seat with less than 1,000 miles on it, Upgraded wheels that look really good, Saddlebag Rails/Bracket for saddlebags with relocated tail lights (not shown in pics), Very good tread left on both tires, Attached Windshield, Engine/Crash Guard with attached highway pegs (not installed but I will include all hardware and give link to instructions, takes all of 20 minutes to put on), Carb was rebuilt, the starter replaced, and the kickstand was replaced about 2k miles ago. I will also throw in the original seat and sissy bar pad I took off to put on the new one, both are still in pretty good shape for their age (they are better for long trips than the Badlander seat). I also have a new pair of front brake pads and the official service manual I will toss in as well. This thing runs like a champ and sounds great. Gets 50+ mpg easily and would serve as an excellent commuting or just a cruising around bike. There are a few little nicks and dings on it as you would expect from a bike of this age. There is a ding on the air filter cover as well as on the gas tank which can barely be seen unless you look at it in the right light. I was told by a paintless dent repair place that this can be fixed for under $100. There is also a small chip on the corner of the front brake main cylinder housing on the handlebar, my guess is something hit it at some point. It works fine and is just cosmetic. Cash only, no trades or Paypal!!! Can text or email more pics. $3,500.00

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
