Harley-Davidson Sportster description

1993 1200 EVO Sportster with unattached Voyager trike kit. Another true barn find from a not so little old man who only rode her to church on Sundays. Seriously! :) "Purple Rain" is LOADED with chrome and accessories. All the toys. Runs like a scalded cat. Comes with a Voyager Trike Kit. Look them up. They're pretty slick. She could definitely use paint and the trike kit installed. If we put her together and paint her, the price will increase exponentially. She's a project but not much of one. Mechanically she seems perfect. Otis shook her down & he says thumbs up. This would make a perfect bike for a Mama, a disabled person, or anybody just looking for an eye turning joy toy. Just don't forget she's quick! 1200 EVO, S&S carb, custom pipes, new tires, 21" front wheel, dual discs, new wheels & tires on the Trike Kit & much, much more. We don't know the actual miles, she's got an aftermarket dash that shows 18,000. Our plan was buy her, paint her, attach the trike kit and flip her at Biketoberfest. But, there aint no way, it's almost here. We're currently in the middle of too many projects that must be finished. We have to reduce our inventory. Our loss can be your gain. We will do our best to answer any and all questions to the best of our ability. We are not a dealer and we have 50 yrs experience messing with bike and rods. Customer satisfaction is our priority. Thanks for looking...

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
