Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This is a all original 1983 Harley Davidson XLS Roadster 39,764 miles. It is one of the last years of the original Ironhead Motor. 1000cc ironhead / 4 speed, stock components -- 2" longer forks, 2 up seat, sissy bar, highway pegs, 4 gallon fuel tank with console. The bike still has the original paint (and patina) with the same scheme as the FXR for that year. This bike was advertised by Harley as " Get the Whole HOG without paying for the whole hog" so basically FXR styling but with the sportster motor and cheaper than the FXR for that year. The bike has been gone through and replaced some items like the brake fluid, new AGM battery, new oil. It is turn key and go starts right up and rides great. This bike is in great condition and only selling because I have too many projects going on right now and need the space. I am the 4th owner and the bike was a daily driver by the previous owner.     2013 Harley-Davidson Models Revealed in CARB Documents

    The bulk of the 2013 Harley-Davidson model lineup has been revealed in documents released by the California Air Resources Board. While this is a fairly lengthy list of models, it may not be complete as Harley-Davidson sometimes saves a couple of new model announcements for later in the year. Most of the models revealed are returning models but there are a couple of omissions as well as several additions, including new anniversary models celebrating Harley-Davidson’s upcoming 110th anniversary.

    Mustang Announces Metal Flake Seat Colors and Display for Sturgis

    Just in time for Sturgis, Mustang Seats has release new color options for its custom seats. Designed to match the retro colors on Harley-Davidson’s Hard Candy Custom collection, the vinyl seats have metal flake in six available colors available on Mustang’s Tripper Solo, Tripper Fastback and DayTripper seats. According to Mustang, after the starting its custom seat program last fall, so many customers requested a metal flake option that they had to provide it.
