1980 Harley Davidson Sportster XLS or Roadster model. This model came with cast aluminum wheels, drag handle bars and a smaller gas tank. Never restored or re-painted the bike has 23,000 original miles from only two owners.Drag pipes and a different air cleaner are the only things not stock equipment on this vintage ride. This bike starts up and when it does that old Ironhead really sounds off and rides good too, The brakes recently gone over, along with the fork tubes and the battery is not that old. This is a nice piece for the short tripper that wants a great sounding nostalgic Harley. Thanks for looking and will be happy to answer any questions. Rare Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Memorabilia Up for Auction
Tue, 24 Jun 2014More than 500 rare Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collector’s items will be hitting the auction block on June 28. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. The retired Shreffler once had plans to open a Harley-Davidson museum but has now decided to auction off his collection gathered from 48 years in the industry.

Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
