Harley-Davidson Sportster description

The one you've been looking for, waiting for, hoping to find.  Extremely rare.  Amazingly beautiful and unique.  If you know this bike, you know it was made only one year.  Bikes from the years before and after had different, non-interchangeable engines.  It comes with the matching Sparkling America "boat tail" tail section in addition to the stock seat, the deluxe white seat and the custom solo seat (see photos).   It also comes with a super-rare larger gas tank (also in Sparkling America livery) in  addition to the standard gas tank (see photos).  Also included are the original optional aluminum rims and Goodyear tires (see photos).  The original shock absorbers and carburetor are also part of the sale (again, see photos).  Sale includes the original owners manual, framed dealer posters, original matching Harley helmet and sales brochure.  You will never find another complete collection like this.

Detroit Police Department Restores 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead

The Detroit Police Department revealed a restored a 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead police bike that was found during the move to its new headquarters. The 76-year-old police motorcycle was found disassembled at the old headquarters after several decades in storage. According to MLive, the police department attempted to restore the motorcycle in 1974 but never got around to completing it.

Harley-Davidson Opens Latin America Office in Miami

Harley-Davidson opened a new regional headquarters in Miami, Fla., to house the company’s Latin America operations. The new Harley-Davidson Latin America headquarters supports the Motor Company’s subsidiaries in Brazil, Mexico and other countries in Central and South America. Harley-Davidson projects international sales to exceed 40% of the company’s revenue by 2014 with the Latin America office a prime area of growth.
