Harley-Davidson Sportster description

1971 XLCH, kick start only Sportster, supposedly it was originally modified by Smith and Fetro, it is an original S&F girder, I have most parts needed to finish it, mileage is unknown, but it is in good condition.  it is sitting on a pallet in a Motorcycle shop west of the Minneapolis metro area, I do have clear title in hand and need to move it... 1974 and earlier Sportster's had Right hand shift.  Was a project that I started but have not been able to complete... not a Yuppie bike, this is an ORIGINAL not old school bike..

Need to move it as my storage area is not going to be available much longer and I want to buy a bike to ride.  Buyer is responsible for pick up, or arranging a freight/shipping company, fork lift is available to load and can be left on the pallet.

Happy Bidding!

Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.
