FOR SALE IS MY 1967 SPORTSTER.PAINTED THE BIKE FLAT BLACK.IT IS NOT A SMOOTH FINISH IT HAS A GRAIN TO IT.NEEDS TO HAVE THE IGNITION CYLINDER KEYED OR INSTALL A SIMPLE TOGGLE SWITCH TO SHUT THE BIKE OFF. NEEDS THE CHOKE CABLE INSTALLED AND THE HORN.BAD NEWS FOR ME IS THAT I STARTED IT UP AND IT RAN FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS.THE MOTOR IS NOW SEIZED AND I AM NOT FIXING IT.IT IS ALSO MISSING THE LEFT FRONT FORWARD CONTROL FOR THE BRAKE.SENT IT OUT TO THE MACHINE SHOP AND THEY LOST IT.BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS AND ALL SHIPPING CHARGES.TRUE MILEAGE IS UNKOWN.DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK. AND PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PAY.THAT IS WHY I AM RELISTING .THIRD TIME RELISTING DUE TO NON PAYING BIDDER COME ON GUYS I TOOK THE TOP END OFF AND VERIFIED THAT THE PROBLEM IS IN THE BOTTOM END.ENGINE WILL NEED TO COME OUT OF THE FRAME AND THE CASES SPLIT TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS .I SUSPECT IT IS THE CRANKSHAFT PIN.HAD IT HAPPEN TO MY 68 25 YEARS AGO.AT THAT TIME I REPLACED IT WITH STRONGER S&S CONNECTING RODS .CYLINDERS, HEADS AND RESPECTIVE HARDWARE HAVE BEEN BOXED SEPERATLEY FRO PROPER REASSEMBLY |
