Harley-Davidson Softail description

I am reluctantly putting my 2004 Harley Davidson Softail up for sale. The bike is incredible! There are  thousands of dollars in accessories on this bike. Pictures do not do this bike justice.

Full chrome H-D front end

H-D teardrop headlight

H-D chrome mirrors

H-D chrome levers

H-D chrome switch covers

H-D Flat handle bars with incorporated H-D tach

H-D chrome engine kit

H-D chrome forward controls

H-D chrome swing arm

Custom ordered H-D leather seat

H-D smooth chrome speedo bezel

 Custom black with blue ghost flames

Engine:

Stock internals with a Screaming Eagle Stage 1 Kit ( Pipes, Air Cleaner and Flash tune)

 

The bike runs perfect. Just changed all fluids. The tires are Metzlers and have less than 1000 miles on them (new last season). I also have the stock seat and a passenger back rest.

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

Harley-Davidson reported a 20.3% increase in motorcycle sales over the first quarter of 2012, including a 25.5% increase in the United States. According to Harley-Davidson‘s first quarter report, The Motor Company sold 59,677 motorcycles, worldwide, up from the 49,595 motorcycles reported in the same quarter of 2011. U.S.

Harley-Davidson Closing Australian Cast Wheel Subsidiary

Harley-Davidson is closing its cast wheel and hub producing subsidiary New Castalloy, deciding to outsource production to third-party suppliers. Based in Adelaide, Australia, New Castalloy produces about 1,450 wheels and 500 wheel hubs per day for Harley-Davidson. That work will be transferred to outside suppliers by the middle of 2013.
