Harley-Davidson Softail description

2000 Harley Heritage Softail Classic riding on a 2012 Kraft Tech Softail Frame.  Softail has been lowered and has new tires on it.  New brakes, new starter drive clutch, new battery, new Screaming Eagle wires and plugs, Screaming Eagle Carb kit.  It has 2" straight pipes, floor boards, chrome switch covers, chrome levers, detachable Harley windshield, custom paint, custom seat with backrest, short tail light mount, chrome upper and lower belt guards, Willie G shift pedals and brake pedal.  Harley easy clutch kit installed for less effort on clutch lever. It does come with the factory leather bags though not shown in pics.  12k miles on odometer.  Great bike, great looking and rides great.  I built this for my wife but it's too much for her.  Time to move on.

Just to clarify for those who don't understand.  This is a 2012 Kraft Tech Harley Softail frame.  All sheetmetal(fenders, tank), wiring, electronics, engine, transmission, primary and so forth came off a 2000 Heritage Softail Classic with 12k miles which the speedo shows.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
