Harley-Davidson Softail description

This bike needs a new home.

I am the original owner of this motorcycle and purchased it new in March of 2010.

I cannot seem to give this bike the justice it deserves; finding time to actually ride it.

This bike is EXCEPTIONAL, PRISTINE AND IN SHOWROOM CONDITION (INSIDE AND OUT).   AND IT COMES WITH LOW MILES AND A HD EXTENDED WARRANTY.  This warranty is completely transferrable to you, its new owner.

My bike is loaded with all genuine HD accessories that were installed by my local HD dealer.  The bike has been very well maintained for both inside and out by this same HD dealer.

THE BIKE COMES WITH NO DENTS, NO SCRATCHES AND NO DINGS.  Also, the bike has NEVER BEEN DROPPED.

The bike is solid, sound and in perfect condition.  You will find all of its leather to also be in showroom condition.  Even though I had to list the bike as being 'used', its overall appearance looks New.

The bikes windshield and passenger seat can be quickly and easily removed if you prefer the 'cruiser' look.   I have to tell you that the passenger seat is still a virgin.  It has seen no passengers.  It has seen no rain.  If there was a doubt in the weather, the bike did not go out.

I added Screamin' Eagle pipes to the bike and with the install of these pipes, there was a download to its engine to improve the performance.  There is a toe/heel shifter and both engine and saddle bag guards.

Here is a list of the HD accessories that I added:

  • Security System (part no. 68207-07)
  • SE A/C Kit (part no. 29440-99D)
  • Kit-EFI Super Tuner, S.E. Pro (part no. 32109-08B)
  • '07 SFTL Standard (part no. 25304-200)
  • Passenger Seat Pillion/upgrade (part no. 51763-07)
  • Remote Control Garage Door Opener (part no. 91558-01A)
  • Digital Gear Indicator (part no. 70900038)
  • Heated Handle Grips (part no. 56512-02C)
  • LCD Oil Dipstick (part no. 62955-09)
  • Passenger Footboards/upgrade (part no. 52715-04A)
  • Saddle Bag Guards (part no. 49261-00A)
  • Engine Guards (part no. 49037-05A)

This bike will cause heads to turn as you are driving it down the road for years to come.

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND READING MY AD.

Please note that the current miles on the bike of 1916 may increase a little before it is sold.  Only because of the Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration is in my back yard (Milwaukee) and it all depends it the bike is sold before then.  I may take it out one more time for my last hurrah.

(Buyer is responsible for the pick up or the shipping of this bike.)

No test rides, no trades and no PayPal options.  Only reasonable offers please.

Payment in full via bank-to-bank wire transfer, cashiers check, bank check or cash in person.  All payments must clear before bike can be picked up or shipped.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
