Harley-Davidson Softail description

NEW LOWER BUY IT NOW PRICE AND AN EVEN LOWER RESERVE!

This bike began as my new Harley in 1990 I rode it awhile and decided to "fix it up" I sent it to Dave Perewitz and all he ended up using was the frame, so the title says 1990. everything was hand built by Dave Perewitz several years ago. It has been ridden very little but was built to ride. The engine is very strong, a brand new TP 121,  Baker six speed, Avon Venom 180/60/16 rear and  90/21 front. Small tank (on the bike)  and an extra 'long range'  tank is painted identically. The bike was featured in Easy Rider magazine with a 6 page center spread in April 2001.  Dave used all the best parts and applied his legendary flames and pin-striping. This bike is unique in many ways, one of the main features is the rear suspension (soft tail) almost all choppers have a rigid frame. Dave made this one look like a ridged but it has rear suspension for a much more comfortable ride. The seat was made by Danny Gray and is perfect. The springer front end is Paughco.  The rear fender is from Jesse James. The bike also features rear passenger pegs and Progressive rear shocks give enough comfort to take your significant other for an all day ride without complaints. Rinehart hand built the polished stainless pipes for the best sound and looks of any Harley. New battery installed this month makes this bike ready for any ride or bike show. No odometer so 400 miles is my guess (I believe it is closer to 200 it has only been ridden a few times since Dave bult it)

This is a quality bike!

Thank you for looking.

New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.
