Harley-Davidson Softail description

2007 Springer Classic with only 15400 miles (will have a few more by the time it sells).  This is a beautiful and unique bike, tastefully modified.  It has a very classic look, and I get lots of questions from people who think it is a 1940's springer from a distance.

This bike really stands out in a crowd.  I have been to rallies with thousands of bikes and not seen another one like it.  This was the last year for the Springer Classic.  You see very few green and black springers, and 2007 was the only year that the classic/heritage springer was outfitted with the 96B motor and six speed transmission.  There are quite a few nice modifications.  Black crash bars, springer classic saddlebags, 2 piece seat, Vance and Hines True Dual Fishtails, Screaming Eagle air cleaner and nostalgic air cleaner cover, black heel-toe shifter and matching black highway pegs, Harley Davison narrow beach bars, old school round harley davidson mirrors, Harley Davidson detachable windshield, Harley Davidson french headlight ring.

This was the last year before they discontinued the Classic or Heritage model and started making the crossbones.  They are not making any springers anymore, so this bike is the best and the end of that era.

I have the following additional items, which are not included, but are available for purchase: Heritage Springer passing lamp bar and horn, spring seat set up and heritage springer saddle bags.   I will throw in the stock floor boards and shifter.

The bike does have some wear and tear, which is normal for a bike of this age and mileage.  If you want additional photos of anything, let me know. I can take more pictures and send you close up pictures of the blemishes.   The bike could use a rear tire and is probably due for rear brake pads.

Harley-Davidson is recalling the 2014 Tri Glide Ultra Classic trike  because of a problem with . At the moment, a recall has only been announced by Transport Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to announce the recall due to the federal government shutdown, but recall notices are already being sent out to dealers in the U.S. According to the Canadian agency, the upper fork stem bracket was machined incorrectly, allowing for more steering angle than intended by the trike’s specifications.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
