2014 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob Receives Dark Custom Makeover

The Harley-Davidson Fat Bob is returning for 2014 with a new blacked-out look as the latest model to get H-D’s Dark Custom look. The new, darker Fat Bob features a number of blacked-out components including the powertrain and air cleaner cover, rear shock covers, triple clamps, headlight trim, console and battery box cover. The machined aluminum slotted disc wheels have also been received a black powdercoated finish as well as a laser-ingraved Harley-Davidson logo and rim stripe.

While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.

The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit featuring photographs from custom builder and artist Josh Kurpius. Opening Jan. 17, the Living Lost Photographs by Josh Kurpius art exhibit includes 30 photographs taken during a series of road trips Kurpius took with friends, all riding vintage Harleys.
