Harley-Davidson Softail description

2006 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, FLSTCI with 13k miles.  Color is Sunglo Blue, and bike is equipped with factory hard Harley saddlebags.  Upgraded HD leather seat with aftermarket armrests for passenger.  Vance & Hines pipes are perfect and have a fantastic, deep sound.  Factory HD alarm system.

I also have the original owners manual with bike.  I purchased the bike early in 2013 from my father, who is no longer able to ride.  He purchased the bike in the Ft. Myers FL area from the original owner (a man in his 60's) a couple of years ago.

This bike has been adult driven since purchased new and always garage kept.  The bike is in absolutely excellent condition with shiny paint and chrome throughout.  There is a tiny (approx 1/4") scratch on front fender and left side saddlebag, and I have attempted to show those in the photos.  Also, there are 2 small cracks (1/2-1") in the windshield next to one of the bolts, which I have included in the photos as well.  Other than those small imperfections, the bike looks mint.

Mechanically, the bike rides and sounds perfect.  Everything works as it should.  Proper maintenance at the Harley dealer since purchased new, and always cared for appropriately.

Also included in this auction is the EFI race tuner kit (never used), as well as the HD Battery Tender with easy connection to bike.

I am an honest person and I am describing the bike to the best of my ability.  No stories, no excuses, no nonsense.

The bike is located in Springfield, IL and you are welcome to inspect the bike prior to bidding.  Please ask me any questions you may have before you bid.

I have set the reserve at a very reasonable price.  I would like the winning bidder to make a down payment of $500 via PayPal within 24 hours of end of auction, with full payment is due within 5 days of end of auction.  All shipping costs are at the buyers expense, and local pickup at my house is fine with me also.  I would prefer bike to be picked up or shipped within 1 week of end of auction.

5 Awesome Motorcycle Gift Ideas for Kids

Fri, 05 Dec 2008

Wow, is it that time already? Time to drink eggnog and be merry until I get my credit card bill and then I’ll be drinking eggnog and trying to forget how broke I am. As we all know the most difficult part of the holiday season is the stress of shopping for gifts.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India

Fri, 18 May 2012

India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.
