Harley-Davidson Softail description

2003 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Anniversary Edition Vivid Black

Up for sale is one of my personal bikes that's been taken care of. It is an OEM Harley Davidson Heritage Softail, 2003 Anniversary Edition in vivid black. I've owned it for 11 months and currently has 50,209 miles. It drives, rides, shifts, and stops good. The front tire has about 40% tread. The rear tire tread has about 55% tread. It has Screamin Eagle pipes and sound very good. I have a clean and clear title in hand. No wrecks. This has a brand new OEM Harley studded seat just installed. It also comes with a Windvest windshield valued at $450, and the bike has the mounting hardware for detachable Harley windshields. The battery is only 5 months old, cranks up very good, and is fuel injected. The front fender has 1 rock peck up front and it has a small dent under the triple tree between the lower legs. The dent is hardly noticeable as shown in picture. The rear brake pads will need to be replaced soon.  The are some scrapes on the bottom of the Screamin Eagle pipes but are hardly visible unless you bent down to the ground and looked upward.  What you see is exactly what you get. No warranties. The bike comes with 3 keys and a fob to the security system. For the time I've had it, the bike has been good to me, and I have been very satisfied. I'm selling because I have 2 other bikes and don't have the available time to ride as much.

To watch a video on the sound and walk through of the bike, send your email address since I cannot add the video to the listing.

Please be aware that reflections can sometimes appear on the paint or chrome pieces that may look like imperfections on the bike. If you notice something on the bike that isn't mentioned in the description, please contact me for confirmation.

I do have the bike for sale locally and do reserve the right to cancel all bids and stop the auction early. THIS AUCTION IS INTENDED FOR SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY. PLEASE ARRANGE YOUR FINANCIALS BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID.

The successful high bidder will submit a $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 4 days of the close of the auction. The remaining amount must be paid through certified check or U.S. Post Office money orders and mailed overnight through FedEx. This is a legal binding contract. Once payment is received, the bike is yours and ready for shipment. The title will be mailed to you immediately, no hassles.

This vehicle is available for local pick-up. Additionally, shipping arrangements can be made through uShip at your responsibility if it cannot be locally picked up. I do not crate bikes. Due to my limited time, I need the shipper to pick up between 7 AM and 3 PM central time any day in Magee, MS. I can assist the shipper with loading the bike onto a trailer.

Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Led Inauguration Parade

Mon, 02 Feb 2009

While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.

Here at Motorcycle.com we generally have nice things to say about Harley-Davidson products. But we also like a good joke. Especially when it’s full of biting sarcasm.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
