Harley-Davidson Softail description
This is the rare opportunity to purchase an American Iron cover bike from the November 2011 issue. I have had my fun with it and I feel it is time to pass the enjoyment opportunity to another owner. The bike started off as 2002 Harley Davidson Deuce which I purchased from the original owner in 2007. After months of searching for the perfect bike I bought it out of Florida and had it shipped Alberta. I rode it one summer and you are looking at the product of a long winter, a short summer and another long winter. The bike took Outstanding in Class at the Calgary World of Wheel in 2009 and 2010. It was featured in American Iron Magazine in 2011 and was the cover bike as previously mentioned. In 2013 it won best chopper in show at a charity ride followed by a show and shine, however it was the only ‘chopper’ on the ride/show and shine. I point this out because this bike can handle any ride baggers are in…….just make sure you have friend to carry your stuff. This bike handles and rides really well and has lots of power. There has been so much done to this prostreet custom it is hard to list without missing something. The goal was to use only North American made parts to build a cool looking rideable bike. I wanted a bike that looked good but could still be a daily rider. The engine was done by Marcum Racing out of Alabama before I purchased the bike from the original owner. I kept all of the stock wiring and the stock ECM in place. I installed a Power Commander, had the bike dyna tested and created a custom map. With all of the stock wiring in place, this bike can be serviced by any Harley Dealer. The bike doesn’t have a speedometer however the stock connector is located under the tank and an off the shelf aftermarket or a stock speedo can be plugged into it. Here’s the list: Wild-1 "Chubbies" Handlebars Braided Steel Lines, Internal Wiring Brand New Harley-Davidson grips and pegs Legends, Inc. 2" Extended Forward Controls LED Signal Lights Pro One 5 degree Triple Tree and 6” OS tubes Hawg Halter Brake Calipers 250 Renegade Monterey Wheel, Pulley and Rotor 95" Twin Cam Engine, Fuel Injected Keith Black Forged Pistons S&S Gear Drive Cams High-Performance Heads High-Performance Clutch Vance& Hines "Big Shot Longs" Exhaust Johnson Engineering 240/250 Conversion Kit Holly Fuel Pump Power Commander II with custom map Tank, rear fender, side plates, seat housing from Rods and Restos – One of a kind Rear swing arm and 40 degree rake from Precision Frameworx Faux Gator skin seat covering by Powersport Seats Paint by Fisher Designs

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..
Mon, 21 Feb 2011The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
