Harley-Davidson Softail description

Immaculate, 1 owner adult owned 2001 Harley Davidson Softail Deuce, FXSTD ( FSXTDI, Injected model)  Deuce with only 3,500 easy miles and many upgrades and accessories.  Always garaged, covered and well taken care of.

This like new/better than new bike has fuel injection and the factory HD alarm, anti-theft.  The bike is black with red lettering and pinstripes.  Paint looks new.  Screaming eagle pipes are installed, I have two original equipment mufflers that are new.   Harley quick release windshield makes it nice for cool weather.   Spoke front wheels and chrome hub sparkle.  I've included a picture of the underneath side so you can see just how nice and clean this bike is.  Runs strong, a joy to drive.

Additionally it comes with

  • HD removable windshield
  • HD solo seat
  • Factory two up seat and
  • Custom Corbin touring seat (SUPER comfortable and great lower back support),  with Backrest
  • Upgraded foot pegs
  • Screaming eagle exhaust
  • Upgraded chrome grips
  • Custom chrome clutch and brake levers
  • Carbon fiber tank strip
  • Custom license plate mount
  • Hyper-lights, led stop lights http://www.hyperlites.com/stdsf.html
  • Battery tender, battery was replace about a year ago and I added the tender...great investment
  • Custom HD chrome shift linkage
  • Chrome belt cover and
  • Chrome rear axle cover
  • Chrome kickstand extension
  • Custom fork mounted front turn signals.. (much better than the factory handle bar mounts!)
  • Chrome bolt caps
    • Most all of the factor allen head bolts have been chrome capped, see pics, for an elegant slick look and style.
  • Extended custom headlight bezel extension that is not currently mounted-it really makes the bike look longer and leaner when mounted.
  • Hyper cleaner, custom air cleaner
  • Front leather carry pouch
  • Original and extra 2 original seats seat with factory back rest, total of 4 seats with sale
  •

I just had the bike serviced by Harley Davidson of Allen TX, put new rear brakes and front and rear tires at 3,200 miles.. the bike is AS NEW.

Fuel injection makes this run like a dream, even on hot 110 degree days it fires easily when hot.

No scratches, looks brand new and very tastefully accessorized.

Additionally, I have two NEW helmets one large and one small that will go with the sale.  Included is a motorcycle roll-around stand, that you drive the bike onto to make it easy to park and manage in your garage.  See pictures.

You can have  the original parts that I have taken off  to go with the bike.  I LOVE this bike, it handles like a sport bike and rides like a big road machine.  I just don’t drive it enough to justify keeping it.   I purchased it new and as you can see I’ve driven it very little.  I have all the original manuals, paperwork etc. that will go with it.

Priced very fairly.  Possible trades, just email me. Please send questions if you need more info.

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.
