2000 Harley-Davidson Softail DEUCE, This is a 2000 Duece with a modified front end. Took off the 21" and put a 17" twisted spoke front rim with a fat boy fender. There has been way too many add ons to list. The cams and jets have been done and there are many "one offs". This is a firefighters bike, not the traditional red ultra glide, but from the ground up! Pick head axes for the brake and shifter, spanner wrenches for the mirror stems, custom engraving, paint, seat, etc. Always garaged, I am the only owner, bought it new. Cared for is an understatement! Price is firm, over $30k into it, miles have it barely broken in. Runs like new because it basically is new. No issues! Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program
Tue, 17 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
2014 Harley-Davidson Sportsters Receive ABS and Keyless Security Options
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson revealed a five-model Sportster lineup for 2014 with some minor updates including new options for ABS and the H-D Smart Security System. The 2014 Sportster line consists of the 883cc SuperLow and Iron 883 and the 1200cc Forty-Eight, Seventy-Two and 1200 Custom. All five models received new brakes, with larger 300mm front rotors replacing the old 292mm discs.
Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Announces 2013 Induction Class
Wed, 27 Feb 2013The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame announced it will induct five new members for 2013. The Hall also announced it will add one new member to its Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame. For 2013, the Hall will welcome to its ranks motorcycle attorney Russ Brown, custom chopper builder Rick Fairless (pictured above), Harley-Davidson dealer Bill Gikling, actor Marjoe Gortner of the television special “Sturgis: The Great Ride”, and antique motorcycle expert Lonnie Isam, Sr.
