Harley-Davidson Softail description

Offered is my personal 1999 Softail Springer. This the last year that softails were powered by a carbureted Evo engine.  It is a super nice, great riding cruiser. While I am not the first owner, I know the bike's history. It has always been adult owned and ridden(never abused), and has always been garage kept. Mileage is low (18,142), but that is subject to change, as I still ride it occasionally. It was repainted with the custom paint as shown last fall. The custom designed tank emblems and the eagle on top of the rear fender were airbrushed before it was cleared, as were the hand painted pinstripes. The rear tire is new, the front tire was new last fall, and the battery is current. It has never been down. There are no leaks or other issues. It is equipped with Paughco pipes, and a Hypercharger. It also comes with the almost new Willie and Max rear swingarm bag pictured. Seat is in excellent, original condition. Chrome is great, no pitting, etc.
This motorcycle is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you buy, I expect a $200.00 dollar deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of the auction's end. Balance within 7 days by cash or bank check, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Title and motorcycle will not be released until your check has cleared the bank. I will assist you as to delivery as best I can, but it is ultimately the buyer's responsibility.
If you have other questions, please message through Ebay, or call me at (828)409-6472. I would be glad to return your call if you leave a message. Thanks for looking!

2010 Sportster Forty-Eight [video]

Mon, 25 Jan 2010

Watching the promo videos that Harley-Davidson puts out does get me pumped.  Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great!  Harley could use some positive feedback after they announced their Q4 results… Get the Flash Player to see this player. The 2010 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight retails for $10,499 for the black version, $10,789 for the silver or orange. Click here for more info.

Marlon Brando Estate Files Suit Against Harley-Davidson

Tue, 17 May 2011

Brando Enterprises, an operating entity that protects the Marlon Brando brand on behalf of the actor’s family, has filed a lawsuit against Harley-Davidson. The suit alleges Harley-Davidson used the legendary actor’s name without a license for a leather riding boot called “The Brando”. “It is interesting that Harley-Davidson – a company that is vigorously protective of its own brand – would seek to exploit an iconic property without benefit of a licensing agreement,” says  Jeffrey I.
