Absolutely dead mint 1997 Harley Bad Boy in ultra rare Black with Silver scallops with red pinstripe. 1 of 700 and the last year of the Springer Bad Boy (only made for 3 years).
 This bike is stock with the exception a few Harley bolt ons and a Vance & Hines 2-1 pipe and an S&S carb. The original Keihin carb is packed and in a box and will come with the bike.  Only 14,500 miles. Progressive shocks in the rear and the the entire bike has been recently seviced and rides like a dream.
 This bike has always been garaged kept and never seen rain (sorry purists). There are no dings,dents or scratches. It starts up, idles and runs beautifully. This is truly the epitome of Harley Davidson's bulletproof V-twin Evo motor.
You can look forward to thousands and thousands of miles of pure V-twin pleasure.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

New Harley-Davidson Book Ties Together The Company’s Past

Margie Siegal, former columnist for IronWorks Magazine and motorcycle enthusiast has written a book on the history of the world’s most famous motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. Entitled,  Harley-Davidson: A History of the World’s Most Famous Motorcycle, the book ties together the mechanical evolution of the Harley engines, the social history of Harley and the beautiful visuals associated with Harleys in design, advertising, artful photography and collectibles. Harley-Davidson are words that evoke the open American road and the “Made in America” tradition like no others.

In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.
