Harley-Davidson Softail description

This pre-owned Harley Davidson motorcycle is in great condition. The paint is not factory, but is professionally done. Matching avon tires also in great condition. Aftermarket sweeper exhaust do show some blueing at the heads as pictured. Kuryakyn hyper charger air cleaner, detachable backrest, aftermarket fairing/windshield, and many other chrome and accent pieces. No crash damage. This bike is above average, but shows normal wear and rubs from riding. Bolts and other hardware show good, no rust. There is a small rock chip in the rear fender that appears to have "popped" the clear coat, and chipped the paint. No other obvious blems, just the typical "swirl" that all black paint gets in time. The bike has 27,611 miles, but may change a reasonable number before selling (less than 100). It is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the listing anytime.

Winning bidder/buyer: Please place a deposit and contact me within 3 days of auctions end for details on payment, shipping, or local pickup. The dealership is open M-F 8-6 and Sat 9-4. I will be reasonable and accomodating on all aspects of post sale arrangements. Shipping is available, but will be a buyers responsibilty to arrange. I can crate your item for shipping purposes if necessary (at material cost). Please gather shipping quotes prior to bidding. You shall also be responsible for insuring the item during shipping. Pickup at "MCI" Kansas City airport is also available, again within a reasonable schedule and during business hours. Out of state buyers will receive a bill of sale and reassigned title and will be responsible for paying any taxes, licensing, and titling fees as required. Feel free to contact me with any questions @ 660-826-2925 (Dave)

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
