Harley-Davidson Softail description

1987 HD SoftTail Custom FXSTC, I am the 2nd Owner. Low mileage bike, and you will love how it garners attention everywhere it goes. Most people think that its a mid-2000 bike until I tell them its a 1987! Selling because Im in the military and I am buying a house, so need to get rid of a few toys to help with the down payment!

Just so everyone is aware, THIS IS A FACTORY HARLEY DAVIDSON CUSTOM, not some bike that I'm adding the name "custom" to, to make it sound like its more than what it is. The title correctly lists this as a FXSTC which is a Harley Davidson SoftTail Custom. Dont be confused by sellers adding the name "custom" to their bikes trying to make it sound like more than it is. BOLT ON PARTS dont make it CUSTOM!

This is one of the ORIGINAL bikes where HD started to powdercoat/paint the frame to match the color scheme of the tins!!!! This bike has tons of upgrades, from custom seats, cam, Kuryakyn Hypercharger, ape hangers, custom rear lights, steel braided lines, plus tons of extra items that go with the bike. I have all of the original parts that came off of it as well. I also have extra tins, handlebars, seats, amongst other items that will go with the bike as well. The original owner changed his style in the years he owned it, and kept all the pieces he took off, so when I purchased this bike, he included all of those items with the bike. I will include them as well, so the new owner can have just as much fun with this bike as I have! So you want drag bars instead of ape hangers? Not a problem! Want to go stock, not a problem! Those extras are there for you to do it! I will insure that all these items are wrapped up, boxed up, and ready for you to pick up when the bike is!

Ive owned this bike since late February 2010, for almost four years now, and have only put a little over five thousand miles on it. This bike has been pampered, loved, cared for, and it possibly the loudest, sexiest beast on the road! On most runs, I give the folks a courtesy, and take up the rear position on the run, mainly because the pipes on this bike are so loud, most people actually get a bit mad having to ride behind them for long distances! (Short distances arent too pleasant for folks either!) But the funny thing is, when you are riding her, she isnt that loud, behind her though. . .watch out!

The bad- there are a couple of dings on the lower right hand side of the gas tank where rocks have came up and nicked the paint, Since this is the original paint job, I have been searching around for someone to actually repaint in in the matching scheme from factory as you see it now, and be able to recreate it. Its not noticeable unless you really look for it, but its something you should know about. The tires will probably need to be replaced next year, just my opinion. The rear brakes need to be bled as well. One of the conchos on the right side of the seat came off, so its not there at all.

You will have to arrange your own shipping or pickup of this vehicle, I will help in any way possible, but with my current work schedule, the most I will be able to do, is probably build a crate for it, you will have to set up transportation pickup, or you can pick it up here in Wisconsin in the 54656 area code region.

2023 Harley-Davidson X 350 Revealed for China

Fri, 10 Mar 2023

H-D/QJ Motor connection finally bears fruit Harley-Davidson has officially revealed the X 350 for the Chinese market, a small displacement flat track-inspired roadster produced with Qianjiang Motor (QJ Motor). As of this writing, the X 350 is only confirmed for China, though a modified variant known as the X350RA will be used in Harley-Davidson Rider Academy programs in the U.S. QJ and Harley-Davidson have been working on the X 350 since 2019, though the motorcycle traces its lineage a little earlier to the TNT300 from QJ-owned Benelli.

Harley-Davidson World Ride Tops 10 Million Miles; Eclipses 2012 Total by 28 Percent

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Motorcycle riders from around the world enthusiastically joined members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) on June 23 and 24 to shatter last year’s record mileage total for the Harley-Davidson World Ride by collectively logging more than 10 million miles, a 28 percent increase over the 2012 total. Launched in 2008 as HOG’s Million Mile Monday, the annual event was expanded into the two-day Harley-Davidson World Ride in 2012 to give more riders worldwide an opportunity to participate. In 2012, participants logged 7,799,140 miles, but this year as riders celebrated the 110th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the 30th Anniversary of HOG that culminates this Labor Day weekend in Milwaukee, they blitzed that record by more than 25 percent, tallying an official total of 10,018,231 miles.
