Harley-Davidson Softail description

1978 Harley Davidson xlh, the bike was modernized in 2014. 113 ci evo built by ultima 125 horse. 6 speed transmission  ( ultima ). Open primary with outboard bearing support. 4 piston brake calipers front and rear. Custom cut fenders front and rear. Ultima forks, and cnc cut aluminum rims. Seat is covered in leather. Vee rubber tires with 300 miles on them still perfect no dry rot. The digital display is v- twin brand. The bike needs a stater, I was pulling the battery to charge it last winter and hooked up the voltage regulator to the wrong poll of the battery and ran it. It shorted out the stater. Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership

A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.

While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.

Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico

Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.
