This is a restored 1938 EL 61 C.I. There was a total of 2,289 built in 1938. The VIN is 38EL2985. The engine has been rebuilt and runs strong with the correct Linkert M5 carb. It has a 4-speed transmission. It has been repainted with the original color of Venetian Blue with white and burnt orange pinstripes. The skull dash is correct for 1938 with the green generator lens. It has matching belly numbers. The cylinders and heads are date coded to the engine. The speedometer has been rebuilt. New Coker tires and tubes. The tanks and fenders are correct. It has been updated with a belt primary drive and a 12V conversion. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 is required within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment by a bank wire transfer is required within 7 days of auction close. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. 2023 Harley-Davidson X 350 Revealed for China
Fri, 10 Mar 2023H-D/QJ Motor connection finally bears fruit Harley-Davidson has officially revealed the X 350 for the Chinese market, a small displacement flat track-inspired roadster produced with Qianjiang Motor (QJ Motor). As of this writing, the X 350 is only confirmed for China, though a modified variant known as the X350RA will be used in Harley-Davidson Rider Academy programs in the U.S. QJ and Harley-Davidson have been working on the X 350 since 2019, though the motorcycle traces its lineage a little earlier to the TNT300 from QJ-owned Benelli.

Thu, 02 Feb 2023Del Mar delays, Project Fuel and the X350RA Harley-Davidson presented its fourth quarter 2022 financial results, and the results were generally strong, but not without a few hiccups. The quarter was strong, compared to the previous year, with revenues ($1.14 billion vs $1.02 billion), operating income (profit of $4 million vs loss of $7 million) diluted earnings per share ($0.28 versus $0.14) showing increases in 2022. For the year, Harley-Davidson reported revenues of $5.76 billion compared to $5.34 billion in 2021, and an operating income of $909 million compared to $823 million in the previous year.
