65 Panhead project. If you've ever wanted to own a classic 65 Harley Panhead here's an economical way to get one. What I have is a 65 pan engine with a clear title in my name, 65 panheads, 65 timer, 65 trans and inner primary, 65 date coded frame, swing arm, wheels, and brakes, 65 3.5 gallon tanks, 65 oil bag, 65 speedo not pictured but included. The front and rear fenders have later fender tips but I believe they're correct for a 65. The bottom end has been rebuilt and looks fine I have cylinders but don't believe I have the pistons. All the fins look good. The heads were gone through but have cracks at the exhaust valve guides like a lot of them do. I've run pan this way and never had a problem but at my age I'm just not comfortable with the cracks. Take a look at the pictures ask questions I'll help with the shipping but the cost is on the buyer. Please read the entire description carefully: 1952 Harley Davidson FL "Panhead". Older restoration, work mostly done from mid 70s to mid 80s, tanks repainted professionally this past summer. Original wishbone frame in pristine unaltered condition. Original wide glide front end is the adjustable rake version often used with sidecars. I was told this bike had a sidecar attached at one time. Sheet metal is original, not repro. Engine has o-ring manifold seals and has approx 7,000 miles since overhaul by the owner previous to me. Electrics are original 6v with 3 brush generator and cutout. Not an AMCA judging points bike but a very nice rider. To my knowledge the main non correct items include flexible fuel line with inline filter, current carb (see below), chromed oil tank (done by previous owner), many of the fasteners are hardware store, not CP type. I believe the reproduction parts are the bags, windshield, possibly the seat and exhaust. It runs a 1.5" Primo Rivera belt drive inside the tin primary. I have a folder full of receipts from the previous owner's restoration work dating from the mid 1970s to last year when I bought it. Currently has S&S Super E Shorty carb installed but the original Linkert and 7" J-slot air cleaner are included in the sale. Bike runs very well, I have ridden it about 1,000 miles since I bought it 1 year ago. I wouldn't be selling it but I recently had the chance to buy some other things that I have been wanting for a long time so the panhead must go. Clear current Washington title and registration in my name. Sorry, not interested in trades. $2000.00 deposit required within 48 hours of purchase, balance due in cashier's check (all checks must be verified and cleared by my bank or cash in person before the motorcycle leaves my possession. 1940s Harley big twin flat head or knucklhead frame. Neck and front tubes have been replaced with chopper neck and twisted steel bars, see pics. Once upon a time, some chopper guys cut up a nice big twin frame, luckily they didn't get too crazy. This frame can be restored to factory correct with a new neck and front down tubes. Other areas look good, can see some hallmarks in the pics. I think this frame has some brazed joints and maybe some welded joints. I'm just saying it's a 1940s frame, not sure of the exact year. The CARB executive orders, required before a motorcycle is allowed to be sold in California, reveal new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide, two low versions of the Electra Glide and more models receiving Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooled engine. Introduced last year on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and Tri-Glide Ultra trike, the Twin-Cooled engine uses liquid-cooling for the cylinder heads, reducing emissions.
