2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two and Softail Slim Revealed

As expected, Harley-Davidson pulled the wraps off of two new 2012 models, the ’70s-styled Seventy-Two Sportster (pictured above) and the bobber-styled Softail Slim. Motorcycle.com‘s Tom Roderick attended the launch of the two new 2012 Harley-Davidson models and he’ll have a full report. California Dealer to Produce Limited Edition Sons of Anarchy Harley-Davidson

Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, a dealership in Marina Del Rey, Calif., has signed a licensing deal to produce a run of limited edition Harley-Davidson motorcycles inspired by the FX drama “Sons of Anarchy“. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Bartels will produce 100 units, each priced at about $25,000. The Sons of Anarchy Harley-Davidson models will go on sale in August when they are revealed at the Sturgis rally in South Dakota.

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
