Harley-Davidson Other description

2014 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLHRSE CVO Road King, For the rider who wants it all, the bike that has it all: classic style, long haul comfort. Heavy custom details. Totally re-thought to give you more of that big road-eating grin. The 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Road King FLHRSE model is the ultimate cruiser motorcycle. It packs a premium audio system that plays through speakers in the fairing lowers and saddlebag lids. As part of Project RushMore for 2014, the CVO Road King has been redesigned from the ground up for more comfort, more power, better braking and handling and more classic style. The FLHRSE Road King model CVO has a detachable short custom wind deflector that cuts the wind for more comfortable riding. The FLHRSE CVO Road King motorcycle features the new Reflex Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with dynamically, electronically linked brakes for optimum stopping in all conditions. The H-D CVO Road King model offers custom extended saddlebags that add to the bike's premium touring capabilities, and profile laced wheels with wide whitewall tires that add to its bold boulevard style. The new high-output Twin Cam 110 engine with Screamin' Eagle badges provides 110 cubic inches of power, a low cruising rpm, more low end torque, more passing power, along with silky smooth shifting of its 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. Chrome touring mufflers are a beautiful set of pipes that look great, sound impressive and keep rider and passenger safe from exhaust heat. The two-piece low profile saddle is available in solo or two-rider configurations, in leather styling the makes a unique custom statement.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival Review

Tue, 03 Sep 2024

A double dose of nostalgia Photos by Edward Narraca; Harley-Davidson Museum Archives I love classic Americana. Hot rods, choppers, you name it. It’s one of the things that make me proud to be from the place that this aesthetic was born.

Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?

Fri, 10 May 2013

Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.
