2014 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Ultra classy - When you set out to improve the most respected touring machine on earth, you don't take short cuts and you sure as hell don't accept any limits. The 2014 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic model FLHTC is a great touring motorcycle for your long distance trips. As part of Project RushMore the Harley Ultra Classic model has been redesigned for 2014 and features a new air-cooled high output Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with more low-end torque and passing power. It's mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for low rpm at highway speeds. For 2014, the Ultra Classic has improved room and touring comfort for the passenger and redesigned the iconic batwing fairing to reduce head buffeting. The 2014 Ultra Classic Electra Glide motorcycle features the new Reflex Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with dynamically, electronically linked brakes for optimum braking in all road conditions. Long distance riding has never been better. The new Boom Box Infotainment system provides the loudest, clearest sound and most intuitive operation ever on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. A key feature of the bike is the motorcycle luggage capacity. The sleek new saddlebags and Tour Pak provide more room for your gear. New on the Electra Glide Ultra Classic this year are Daymaker LED headlamps and LED fog lamps that provide 450 feet of punch down the road. Mon, 16 Jan 2012A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout Unveiled at Daytona Bike Week
Fri, 08 Mar 2013In a rare move, Harley-Davidson has unveiled a base version of its Breakout months after first launching the exclusive Custom Vehicle Operations version. Presented at the 2013 Daytona Bike Week, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout offers a similar low and muscular profile as the CVO version but at prices starting at $17,899 compared to the premium model’s $26,999 price point. Tom Roderick reviewed the 2013 Harley-Davidson CVO Breakout last August, saying it “continues the tradition of exclusivity, performance and style customers have come to expect from Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations.” But take away the premium CVO features and what do you have?
