Harley-Davidson Other description

2013 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Custom, FLTRX Road Glide Custom 120R - Harley-Davidson has long been regarded as the most customizable motorcycles on the road. To prove it, we stripped down a 2013 Road Glide Custom and rebuilt it, from the frame up, with parts right out of the catalogs. When we finished, this beauty was born. We began with the heart and soul of the machine. This frame has a Screamin' Eagle Pro 120R motor bolted in it. To help achieve the 128 Horse Power at 123 Foot Pounds of Torque, we complimented the motor with a High Flow Intake, Screamin' Eagle Super Tuner, a Rinehart Racing Exhaust, & 6 hours of Dyno Tuning. To allow this chassis to move down the road, we added the Harley-Davidson Mirror Chrome Agitator Wheels. Spiraling from the custom hub, the flat profile spokes blend to the edge of the rim, minimizing the profile of the wheel and adding an open look that’s easy to see around the matching Floating Brake Rotors. Complimenting, and holding on, the front wheel is a shimmering chrome front end. Wrapped around the rear wheel are, a must needed add, Arlen Ness Big Bags. As your eyes move up, you can not help but focus on the phenomenal custom paint job, by Joe Martin of Martin Bros. Customs. From the front painted inner fairing, to the stretch bags, this bike has hours of time put into it. Even if nothing else was done to this motorcycle, this one of a kind paint job would set you apart from all the rest. Now, while you're holding on to the comforting, performance machine, grips, & your feet are resting on the Streamliner floorboards, make sure you take the time to turn up the tunes. The Boom Audio system, with saddlebag lid speakers, will help you enjoy all your favorite tunes, whether you're riding across town or across the country. With all this said, and as good as these pictures may look, you are doing yourself a great injustice by not coming to see it in person. Harley Art

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
