This Dark Custom leader is a minimalist throwback icon for today's freedom seekers. The 2013 Harley-Davidson Softail Blackline FXS model is a modern long custom motorbike with a minimalist, low profile and plenty of vintage Harley-Davidson parts. New for 2013, the Softail Blackline comes with optional Hard Candy Custom paint, a large metal flake paint finish that recalls the iconic styling of '70s custom bikes, and offers blazing color showing through a deep, finish. The H-D Blackline model features a large air-cooled Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with six-speed cruise drive transmission, providing more power for passing, hill-climbing, and riding with passenger and luggage. The FXS Blackline features a rigid "hardtail" rear suspension and narrow rear profile. This contemporary custom bike is slung low with an aggressive riding position that is both cool and comfortable. The Harley Blackline model is reminiscent of the glory days of Harley-Davidson motorcycling - the black headlight, slammed speedo mounted on the triple clamp, round air cleaner cover and black horseshoe oil tank are reminiscent of pre-war Harley parts and accessories; the fuel tank with small tank graphics are inspired by the 1977 Low Rider motorcycle; and the black cylinders with gray heads and black rocker covers is a look you'd find on the Panheads and Shovelheads of the 1950's and 60's. The 2013 H-D Softail Blackline model features a lot of blacked out parts and not a ton of extras - everything is functional and ready for the road. Mon, 20 Apr 2009

John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.

The TwinTrax Is A Machine Straight From Mad Max

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Just look at this motorcycle for a moment. A creation of the German Motorcycle Authority, the TwinTrax is nearly 107 inches long, weighs 882 pounds, and took owner/builder Christoph Madaus 12 years to complete. Oh, and don’t forget the two Harley-Davidson V-Twins powering this thing.
