The bike has 4,700 miles and the 1000 and 5000 mile services have been done at the dealer. The bike has the 4 point docking with removable backrest, and luggage rack ( a $700 value included in the price). The Rinehart Racing slip-on mufflers ($700) that are currently on the bike can be removed and the stock mufflers installed.This commemorative Road King is in immaculate condition and is a real head turner. Detroit Police Department Restores 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead
Fri, 13 Dec 2013The Detroit Police Department revealed a restored a 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead police bike that was found during the move to its new headquarters. The 76-year-old police motorcycle was found disassembled at the old headquarters after several decades in storage. According to MLive, the police department attempted to restore the motorcycle in 1974 but never got around to completing it.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson reported 15.9% increase in motorcycle revenue despite selling 9.1% fewer motorcycles over the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s first quarter 2013 report, Harley-Davidson recorded revenues of $1.15 billion from motorcycle sales, compared to $995.9 million in the same quarter of 2012. At the same time, Harley-Davidson sold 54,254 motorcycles worldwide over the first quarter, down from 59,677 motorcycles in the same period last year.
Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011

The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
