2012 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic FLSTC, This bike is brand new, all stock. Ready for you to add some flare! These big-twin motorcycles capitalize on Harley's strongvalue on tradition. With the rear-wheel suspension hidden under the transmission,they are visually similar to the 'hardtail' choppers popular in the1960s and 1970s, as well as from their own earlier history. In keeping withthat tradition, Harley offers Softail models with 'Springer' frontends and 'Heritage' styling that incorporate design cues fromthroughout their history. The Softail models do not have rubber-mounted engines. Thisled to more vibration in Evolution-engined Softails than in rubber-mountedTouring or Dyna models with Evolution engines. Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines
Fri, 29 Jul 2022Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.
Harley-Davidson Hiring 400 Temporary Workers
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Harley-Davidson is looking for 400 casual workers for its factory in York, Pa., to help with a planned seasonal surge in production. The jobs begin in January 2014 and will run through until the end of May. “When we ramp up production to meet customer demands, it allows us the manufacturing flexibility to build the right bike, the right time for the right person,” Harley-Davidson Spokesperson Bernadette Lauer tells the York Daily Record.

Fri, 24 Oct 2008I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).
