2012 Harley-Davidson FXS Softail Blackline, Updated Service - The 2012 Harley-Davidson Softail Blackline FXS is a modern long custom motorbike with a minimalist, low profile and plenty of vintage Harley-Davidson parts. New for 2012, the Harley Blackline features a new larger air-cooled Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with 6-speed cruise drive tranmission, providing more power for passing, hill-climbing, and riding with passenger and luggage. The FXS Blackline features a rigid hardtail rear suspension and narrow rear profile. This contemporary custom bike is slung low with an aggressive riding position that is both cool and comfortable. The Harley Blackline is reminiscent of the glory days of Harley-Davidson motorcycling—the black headlight, slammed speedo mounted on the triple clamp, round air cleaner cover and black horseshoe oil tank are reminiscent of pre-war H-D parts and accessories the fuel tank with small tank graphics are inspired by the 1977 Low Rider motorcycle and the black cylinders with gray heads and black rocker covers is a look youd find on the Panheads and Shovelheads of the 1950s and 60s. The 2012 H-D Softail Blackline features a lot of blacked out parts and not a ton of extras—everything is functional and ready for the road. AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
