2012 Harley-Davidson FXS Softail Blackline, **One Sweet Ride!! 2012 Harley FXS Blackline With A Stage 1 Kit, Edge Cut Grips & Pegs Plus Custom Pin Striping!!** - The 2012 Harley-Davidson Softail Blackline FXS is a modern long custom motorbike with a minimalist, low profile and plenty of vintage Harley-Davidson parts. New for 2012, the Harley Blackline features a new larger air-cooled Twin Cam 103 Harley engine with 6-speed cruise drive tranmission, providing more power for passing, hill-climbing, and riding with passenger and luggage. The FXS Blackline features a rigid 'hardtail' rear suspension and narrow rear profile. This contemporary custom bike is slung low with an aggressive riding position that is both cool and comfortable. The Harley Blackline is reminiscent of the glory days of Harley-Davidson motorcycling—the black headlight, slammed speedo mounted on the triple clamp, round air cleaner cover and black horseshoe oil tank are reminiscent of pre-war H-D parts and accessories; the fuel tank with small tank graphics are inspired by the 1977 Low Rider motorcycle; and the black cylinders with gray heads and black rocker covers is a look you'd find on the Panheads and Shovelheads of the 1950's and 60's. The 2012 H-D Softail Blackline features a lot of blacked out parts and not a ton of extras—everything is functional and ready for the road. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
Laguna Seca Added to 2014 AMA Superbike Schedule
Thu, 13 Mar 2014AMA Superbike will be racing at Laguna Seca this year after all, with AMA Pro Racing announced the addition of the Monterey, Calif., circuit to its 2014 schedule, joining the World Superbike Championship on July 11-13. Laguna Seca was not included in AMA Pro Racing’s calendar, but its addition now increases the number of rounds in the series to six. That’s still down from the nine rounds held in 2013, but the absence of Laguna Seca and its famed Corkscrew would have been an especially tough loss.
Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children
Thu, 08 Mar 2012Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif.
