Harley-Davidson Other description

Up for auction is the coolest board track racer chopper/bobber/art bike, whatever you want to call it!  Also, if you want to buy the bike now, cash deal, make me an offer!

Appraised at over $21K, it has tons of one-off parts.  Motor is 2011 crate EVO motor straight from HD to builder's shop.  Motor is a -99 motor, which means it has all upgrades ever done to the EVO platform.  Motor came directly from HD with HD title, and was specifically ordered for this bike.  Motor is 80cu. in. stock EVO, hotrod Keihn carb, and BLD belt drive. Frame and tanks are straight from US Choppers Rick Krost. Fully adjustable ISR clutch/brake racing controls from Sweden, etc. Clear KS title, titled as 2011, ready to go!

Bike was last ridden in late 2012.  Bike starts up just fine, rides fine, etc. but could probably use a general tune up and some new gas, etc. since bike has not had its 2013 summer service since owner has moved.

Below is the appraisal on the bike.  Below the appraisal is the description of the bike.  Bike was in HotBike Magazine in 2012, and will come with a copy of the magazine.

Bike has some very cool features, LiON battery that only weighs 5 oz.! Cranks the bike over like it was a semi truck! amazing!

All electrical controls are hidden in the left hand grip, uses an ACE programmable handgrip.  Grip buttons run the starter, lights, horn, high/low, and blinkers!

Bike uses stock HD ignition box and Deustch 8 pin connector harness, so it can be serviced at any HD dealership! Motor is HD, and trans is also 5 speed original HD.

Front end was made by MetalHead Fabrications and is about 2x the size of the Kiwi Indian version, and about 10x beefier and stronger!

Performance Machine brakes all around, could use bleeding.  Front brake stops fine, rear brake is a bit soft, looks like it needs to be bled to be perfect.

Solid copper rear fender, Audi HID projection beam headlight, make the road look like a 747 landing strip! NO problem seeing anything at night!

All solid brass risers and pieces here and there.  This bike is seriously cool.

All steel construction, ride as is, clear coat for that awesome patina look, or paint as you like! blank canvas for you artistic types!

Gas tank is 2 piece, left side is gas, right side is oil! Just like in the 1930/40s HD bikes!  Oil lines are solid copper, hand bent and exposed so you can service anything you need to.

Rims are 100% custom, red powdercoated hubs, black rims, copper nipples, black spokes, 21" front 90 and 21" rear 120 tires. tires look brand new, no cracks, no wear to speak of.

Rear running light is an old stratosphere microphone that has been gutted, lens molded, and is so cool! under seat blinkers/stop/tail/turn also.

I could go on for days, hidden throttle cable, etc. but pictures tend to show you the real deal. This is the REAL DEAL!

Bid with confidence as I have 100% feedback over 15 years!

Bike can be stored for a few weeks if that helps the buyer. Bike has always been stored inside warehouse, never outside. Bike has no speedometer, and no odometer.

Mileage is less than 200 miles since completion.

Cash, bank check or Paypal accepted. No personal checks!

I would not ride the bike home as it has not been serviced this year, but it is your choice.

Select trades accepted, including land, real estate, Can Am Spyders, Ducati Diavel, Honda Rune, Victory Vision, Hotrods, Muscle Cars, etc. NO JUNK as this bike is not junk either!

Feel free to ask questions, I can take additional pics of the bike if needed.  Bike has clear KS title, ready to go!

Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
