Harley-Davidson Other description

2011 Harley-Davidson Street Bob FXDB, The Street Bob goes straight back to the minimalist roots of the bobber scene. Stripped down to the bare essentials, and as naked as the law allows, the key word here is pure with no parts that aren t absolutely necessary. Since its introduction, this attitude-laden motorcycle has taken the custom world by storm with mini ape-hanger handlebar, Fat Bob fuel tank, solo seat, mid-mounted foot controls and a big, black Twin Cam 96 engine.

IT'S 35 YEARS since Evel Knievel attempted to jump 13 London buses at Wembley Stadium. Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.
