Harley-Davidson Other description

2011 Harley-Davidson Road King FLHR, There are no aftermarket add-ons or accessories installed to spoil this Harley. However, the Genuine Harley-Davidson options that are present easily increase the desirability of this Road King. ABS brakes were installed by the factory and is an option that a serious touring rider will consider mandatory. A fob operated security system is installed and will assist in keeping your bike yours. Stock FLHR wheels are cast but these are smooth rim spoke wheels and look terrific! The last of the Harley upgrades is electronic cruise control. Standard features include a rubber mounted 96 C.I. V-twin motor and a 6 Speed Cruise Drive transmission, air assisted rear suspension, industry standard lockable, weather resistant, hard saddle bags, a detachable touring windshield and an all day two-up touring saddle. It works just like the one in your car and is invaluable between Dallas, Texas and Daytona, Florida. The color scheme is Merlot/Vivid Black two-tone and must be seen in person. This is not your average Road King. A phone call to one of our Internet Twins, Dave or Bob will get you a thorough inspection and a test ride. (614095)

Confirmed: Next Harley-Davidson Sportster Will Use Revolution Max 975 Engine

Thu, 07 Apr 2022

The Nightster 975 has a certain ring to it We are less than a week away from the official reveal of Harley-Davidson‘s next Sportster, but we’ve managed to confirm the new model will use a 975 version of the Revolution Max engine. Harley-Davidson has been slowly revealing details of the new model, first with a teaser video and a number of social media posts. We’ve previously speculated that the new model will use a smaller displacement version of the Sportster S‘ Revolution Max 1250T engine, with clues such as the telescopic fork, twin rear shocks and single front disc hinting at a less performance-oriented focus.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Harley Unveils Street Line in X Games Ice Racing Exhibition – Video

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

No, you didn’t read that headline wrong. Harley-Davidson will reveal its Street line of motorcycles to the US market at the X Games today with an ice racing exhibition. While exciting, the winter X Games have clearly been lacking one thing – motorcycles – and the Motor Company has joined with ESPN to bring ice racing to mainstream audiences. What could be a better way to introduce the Street 750 to a young, adventure sports-focused market to the Harley line designed by and for them?
