Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit

The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“  exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Harley-Davidson Street 750 Featured in New Captain America Film

The new Harley-Davidson Street 750 was only just revealed last week at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan, but many of you may have already seen the new motorcycle even earlier and not have realized it. Harley-Davidson announced the new Street 750 will appear in Marvel Comics’ movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” set to hit theaters April 4, 2014. Terminator 2 Harley-Davidson Is Coming Home

If you thought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s greatest role was in Terminator, then you should make your way to Milwaukee: The Harley-Davidson Museum has acquired one of the few surviving 1990 Harley-Davidson FatBoy motorcycles used in the filming of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. At the time of filming, the FatBoy was one of Harley-Davidson’s newest models, and the one now in the Museum’s permanent collection was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1991 action classic. “Terminator 2 is an iconic film and a celebrated piece of pop culture history,” said Jim Fricke, Curatorial director of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
