Over the past few years, especially since the height of the economic crisis, more and more women have turned to motorcycling both as a way to save on fuel costs, but also to experience the joys of the open road. In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The second annual ‘Ride to the Dunes’ charity ride for child abuse awareness kicks off Sunday, June 2 2013, with Grand Marshal Lorenzo Lamas leading the way. The ride will start at Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina Del Rey, California and end at Sycamore Cove State Beach in Malibu, where guests will be treated to lunch and a concert by Alchemy. Riders of all makes and models are welcome to join.

2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Lineup Revealed

Harley-Davidson revealed four models in its limited-production 2014 Custom Vehicle Operations. The CVO Breakout introduced last year is back for 2014, and this time it is joined by the all-new CVO Softail Deluxe (pictured above) and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited touring models which also received elements of Harley-Davidson’s new Project Rushmore initiative. All four CVO models get exclusive components and paint treatments not available on other Harley-Davidson models, as well as a number of accessories from the company’s catalog.
